This Rick and Morty come from a dimension where the transistor was never invented, the Cold War rages on, and Chuck Berry reigns supreme.
Mortimer Calvin Smith, otherwise known as 'the Mort', is a rebel. His old man isn't happy with him, and he says that it's the influence of his grandpa that has driven him to become like this. Richie's got a scattered past, but he's somehow a genius mad scientist. The stuff he makes is straight out of Buck Rogers. He gave Mortimer his leathers, taught him how to smooth talk that special gal, and now regularly takes him on adventures throughout the galaxy in a hover-converted Thunderbird. Beth can't help but be concerned about her son, and his meatloaf gets cold every night as she waits for him to come home.
Summer's a square. She's gone through scores of phases, but generally she tends to gravitate towards Beatnik commie types. She recently joined the local band of Marvin Berry III, and has since written a song in dedication to her wayward brother- "A Message to You, Morty". She still hopes he'll get his act together.
